In a bizarre partnership that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret group.

The adventure focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
